It's not how many hours you put in with a client or on a project. It's the quantity and quality of your energy - your focus and force - that determine whether that time is valuable. Jim Loehr
Why I Do Not Compromise Quality Time on Project Why You Should not do Compromise!
Though it's one of the project constraints, Compromising Quality always results as rework on deliverables since there is variance as compared with Scope and it pulls all of our Schedule, Cost, Resource productivity practically a lot of drag.
Yet many factors to be deliberated, an upfront defined Success criterion as per Scope, Consistent review on project progress and not allowing Scope Creep and Gold plating will also ensure the Quality of Deliverable and obviously keeping schedule and cost within control.
Sometimes, we compromise on resource skills due to budget and non-availability of required competence. It takes time to train them and not sure about performance and lack of alternate arrangements. Having the right team with good rapport is always half of the feat.
It's very important to have required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place to make all team members adhere the process and procedures when we have virtual members work in different geographical locations. The shift requires here is aligning them to be on the same page.
Effective connect with team, appropriate deployment of resource, encouraging them to deliver the best, sidestepping the conflicts, Inspiring to bring the great technical stuff, out of box thinking and all valuable options are needed that also help to analyze or review the things for the furtherance of outcomes. Intentionally to ensure the right information to the right audiences at the right time. A right subject matter expert and mentor also need to guide the team each and every time as required. Valuing team's time is essential since everyone needs work-life balance.
The above notions enable to get the optimum outcomes considering the required technical characteristics in place since every project demands the specific requirements.
That's why I believe that focus and force are vital than spending a lot of hours on a project.
