Quality-Journalism Needed: Before and after Corona

Our short reflections on the situation of journalism in Austria in "DerStandard" (sorry: in German). Based on our data from the Journalism Report 2020 we were already convinced when presenting the new "Journalismus-Report" at the beginning of the year that journalism and the quality of public discourse must be at the centre of research and political considerations. The goal of concrete media policy would then not be preserving archaic media structures or the balancing of interests of political and media elites. Post Corona, we are more than ever convinced that a paradigm shift is urgently needed - in Austria and beyond.
