Quality Control Inspector at SCHNEEBERGER Switzerland
Karin Romano has been with SCHNEEBERGER since 10 years.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Four years ago, we acquired a state-of-the-art 3D measuring machine equipped with advanced measuring technology and software for our quality control department. This upgrade involved the reprogramming of around 500 existing measuring programs.
In parallel with our regular business operations, we are proactively working on the implementation of a CAQ system to elevate our quality management processes.
What do you do on a daily basis at SCHNEEBERGER?
My job centers around upholding our stringent quality standards for delivered parts, covering multiple facets. This entails conducting incoming goods inspections and overseeing internal reworks within the Systems division. Additionally, I Periodically assist with inspecting both internal and external structural components using our 3D measuring machine.
What does the first hour of your workday look like?
I start at around 6 a.m. beginning with an overview of incoming goods, reading and answering my incoming e-mails. There are often urgent requirements for parts that are needed in assembly.
Of course, I also tend to another crucial machine in our office early in the morning – the coffee machine.
