Quality control at CGH Group

?

As a tank manufacturing company, we care about the highest quality of workmanship. We want our products to perform their function for many years. This is why we place great emphasis on quality control, especially non-destructive testing. What kind of measures do we take to monitor the condition of our tanks? Who at CGH Group supervises the testing of the product range?

Teamwork

?The production of a single tank at CGH Group is overseen by a team of specialists. It all starts with production foremen and team leaders, who pay close attention to what and how is done. Once a product is ready, it is tested by an NDT-certified personnel to check the quality of the construction. There might be micro defects in the welds that affect the strength of the tank. Our Quality Assurance department is focused entirely on enforcing the highest production standards.

NDT

NDT stands for "non-destructive testing" and in practice refers to many different methods of measuring the effectiveness of production work. At CGH Group, however, we distinguish between five key methods for assessing weld quality:

  1. VT – visual testing
  2. PT – penetrant testing
  3. UT – ultrasonic testing
  4. MT – magnetic testing
  5. RT – radiographic testing

Our testing methods always depend on the norms according to which our tanks are manufactured. Each of them requires an individual approach from us and, consequently, our knowledge and experience.

The final link of our work

The final link of our work is a QC protocol summarising all the activities connected with tank testing and non-destructive testing. And our customers receive confirmations as part of tank passports. Of course, the moment when we know that our product is perfectly serviceable should not be overlooked!
