If you want to be a successful leader, it pays to be a transformational leader. Transformational leaders have an unwavering focus on the successful attainment of goals and objectives, and they are able to inspire and motivate their teams to take great strides to achieving them.

As a transformational leader, your followers should look to you for guidance, inspiring vision, innovation and resilience. Transformational leaders possess extraordinary charisma and courage and are able to articulate their goals and objectives clearly and in a way that everyone can understand. They are also capable of inspiring their teams to reach levels of performance that may have previously been thought impossible.

Unlike many traditional leaders, transformational leaders look to create an environment of development and learning, where people are encouraged to think creatively and discuss solutions to problems. They are comfortable taking risks and encouraging debate and discussion within their teams to bring new ideas to the table.

Transformational leaders set an example with their behavior, and they strive to lead by example in a way that is inspiring to their followers. They don’t merely command others to do things, they put in the effort themselves to make sure that the tasks get done. Ultimately, they strive to create an environment where everyone works towards a common goal and believes in their worth as a member of the team.

Finally, the hallmark of a transformational leader is that they strive to make a lasting impact. They understand the significance of their role and use it to inspire and motivate their team, to better the lives of those around them. That is the way a transformational leader makes their mark, by inspiring and empowering others to reach their potential in meaningful ways.
