Qualcomm- An Experience
Finally, my last time comes to end a beautiful chapter at Qualcomm, the moment where my emotions oscillate in the anticipation of the future opportunities and the reminiscence of the past time.
The interactions, the level of technical depth and the analytic insights I got here, have played a pivotal role in the metamorphosis of my professional life from a simple engineering college graduate. The last 4 years have been a sinusoidal ride of emotional balance, self-introspection and perseverance. In these varying degrees, the one thing that grew was my knowledge of computing, the futuristic disruptive technologies, and analytical skills through which we everyday solve complex technical problems.
Especially, in the performance team, where I had to understand the architecture of various QC chipsets, and interact with people from various teams in China, Europe and America, I felt a privilege to gain perceptions of best minds, and a pleasure to work with them. I still remember the long hours in the shielding room for many WiFi performance cases, a tiring yet comforting job when we were able to root cause the issue that throttled the performance. In the veil of the technical setup, working on the logs looked as if we were computational gene experts sequencing the bug genes to trace out the errors.
These experiences truly have been an inflection point in the continuum of my professional life, and I shall cherish them while I pursue my career ahead. Of this shaping, I must pay the gratitude to my mentors and manager(s), who challenged me, helped me and inculcated in me the virtues of true professionalism, responsibilities and being an effective team player.
Words fell short and it really sucks to bid an adieu when our conversations are limited due to the deadly pandemic spread across. As I type this message, sitting in a room, I feel overwhelmed that my meetings and my interactions with you guys were limited in last times. I wish you all stay safe and continue to work on these interesting problems, making the place better one step at a time.
As Stephen Jay Gould says, We reveal ourselves in the metaphors we chose for depicting the cosmos in miniature, I believe Qualcomm was that place that reflected my true aspirations and shall always be very special opportunity for me.
