QRA & HAZOP Analysis of IOCL Pipeline at Karwar Terminal
Pipeline Safety Redefined: How iFluids Engineered Risk-Free Operations for IOCL’s Karwar Terminal!
At the heart of IOCL's Karwar Terminal lies an 8-inch pipeline, a critical conduit for High Flash High Speed Diesel (HFHSD) from Karwar Port.
To ensure its seamless and safe operation, iFluids Engineering conducted a comprehensive Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study.
Utilizing advanced tools like DNV PHAST and SAFETI software, the QRA meticulously evaluated potential hazards, modeling scenarios such as jet fires and gas dispersion.
The findings? Individual and societal risks comfortably within acceptable thresholds.
The HAZOP study delved deep into operational nuances, identifying five key recommendations to bolster safety and efficiency, including the development of detailed P&IDs and enhanced operator training.
