QM ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDED MULTIPLE NEW CONTRACTS AND CONTRACT EXTENSIONS ACROSS CANADA

Mississauga, Ontario (March 21, 2018) – QM Environmental ("QM"), a leading Canadian environmental and industrial services company, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded multiple new contracts and contract extensions across Canada and across operating divisions.

Gallant Creek Sediment Basin

QM has been awarded a significant contract for the Gallant Creek Sediment Basin by the Corporation of the District of North Vancouver. The project includes tree removal, clearing and grubbing; construction of earth berms and an access road using native and imported materials; and, in-stream works including creek channel forming and armouring, and construction of a steel straining structure.

Gunnar Mine Site Remediation Project

QM has been awarded a significant contract for hazardous waste transport and disposal from the Gunnar Mine site and Uranium City in Saskatchewan. This is a one-year contract with the potential for an additional five-year extension to undertake all logistical planning of hazardous waste transportation, sourcing final disposal and recycling options. As part of the site rehabilitation, the client's responsibility is to manage the generation of different waste types including waste from ongoing remediation activities and legacy waste from historical mining activities.

Ford St. Thomas Assembly Plant Demolition and Soil Remediation

QM has been awarded a significant contract for demolition and soil remediation work at the former Ford St. Thomas Assembly Plant in St. Thomas, Ontario. The project involves concrete slab and foundation removal, soil remediation, hazardous materials abatement, storm water pond dredging and soil disposal, and complete demolition of the waste water treatment plant and pump house. This is the latest in a series of major works at this site as QM works with Ford over many years on full closure.

Facility Fire Protection and Response Services

QM has been awarded an expanded mandate on an existing, large contract involving two trans-shipment and refining facilities for a Western energy infrastructure client. Under the contract, QM will provide facility fire protection, response and training services for the facilities.

SaskPower Master Service Agreement Extension

QM has been awarded a one-year extension on its Remediation Master Service Agreement ("MSA") with SaskPower, the principal supplier of electricity in Saskatchewan. Under the MSA, QM will provide complete remediation services to reduce SaskPower liabilities, which include removal and disposal of contaminated soils and water resulting from a leaks or spills, the safe removal of waste and hazardous waste, and consultation with SaskPower to provide best practice expertise with respect to remediation of contaminated sites.
