QISS (Quiescent Interval Single Shot)
QISS scheme is widely used for peripheral angiography. This is a non contrast based technique. ECG triggered. Easy, fast and robust to use. Protocol setup consists of mainly a fast and good localizer for planning, then multistep QISS are adapted with inline composed possibilities for faster overview of the vessels of interest.
Can QISS be used for other organs as well?
Images below are done within 2min of scantime each organs, resolution 1x1x3mm
Neck vessels, MIP thin.
Pulmonary veins, MIP thin.
Showing here part of Spleen Artery, MIP thin.
Aorta dissection, MIP thin.
Kidney Arteries, MIP thin.
Conclusion
Fast and robust. Seems promising, but need further testing and optimizing within these areas.
All images are obtained from a Siemens Skyra 3T with multiple coils of usage, head neck 20ch, body 18ch x2, spine 32ch and peripheral angiography 36ch
