Qatar Airways Closer To Taking 49% Stake In RwandAir.

RwandAir Ltd CEO, Yvonne Makolo, stated that Qatar Airways is expected to finalize its purchase of a significant stake in RwandAir as early as next month. The deal, which has been in discussion for nearly five years, would grant Qatar Airways a 49% stake in the Rwandan carrier for an undisclosed amount. Qatar Airways and RwandAir have not commented further on the matter. This follows Qatar Airways' previous investment in Rwanda, including a 60% stake in a new international airport and code share agreements with several African airlines, including RwandAir.
