Q&A with Wynand Louw, Managing Executive at Cecil Vinegar Works

Wynand Louw is a long-standing employee at Libstar and currently fulfils the role of Managing Executive at CECIL VINEGAR WORKS . He answered a few questions for us:

When did you join Libstar (Cecil Vinegar Works)?

I joined Libstar Central Office as a Cost Accountant Intern in January 2017 and joined the Cecil Vinegar Works team in January 2020.

What inspired you to pursue your current career?

I have always had a passion for manufacturing, and I enjoy a fast paced, continuously changing working environment. Food Manufacturing (FMCG) was a perfect fit.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?

Most sports, but I enjoy playing golf and doing long distance running/trail running.

I am also a food and wine enthusiast.?

What is your favourite movie or TV show of all time?

Gladiator.

What is a favourite?dish that you enjoy making often?

Pork Belly or Oxtail Stew (too difficult to choose between them).

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Aim to always finish better than where you started from, no matter how long it takes or what happens in between. Achieve this through small, incremental improvements made regularly and consistently.
