Q&A: Why would I want to talk to you if I am not looking for a new job?
Q: Why would I want to talk to you if I am not looking for a new job?
A: I can be a resource in your career in so many different ways other than just finding you a new job. If you say to me, 'I am not at all interested in job opportunities right now', that's it, done, I am not going to try to convince you otherwise.
SQ:
So why would we still have a conversation?
For one, we can be friends..
But also, I can be a resource to you in other ways. Having a relationship with Execu Search is like insurance for your career. And it's free. And you get a friend out of it. Come on.
The focus of who we are calling and connecting with every day are the most qualified candidates for the jobs and opportunities we recruit for at Execu Search, so that we can build our network and keep you in mind for the future when you're ready.
Without a change in career path, the jobs and opportunities that I have to offer will generally remain the same. Will there be a few exceptions or rare opportunities? Yes of course. But generally, there will be similar opportunities.
I can share jobs with you as they become available that I think you would be interested in and are that you are qualified for. This allows you to keep up with your specific job market, and allows you to have opportunities outside of when you are actively looking for a new job.
I am not going to send you emails like you are on a distribution list, I try to keep my communication and information I share as personalized as possible.

3 年Emily Sullivan I love this and certainly applies to other professionals! It costs nothing to speak to a recruiter, you can learn a lot about the current market and who knows? You might need me (us) someday down the road! I can be a friend too! ;)
