Q&A with Saskatchewan author Alice Kuipers
“I hope readers enjoy the humour and the beautiful illustrations. I hope they are challenged, but not too much, by the language – and that they find joy in how much Polly loves words. Most of all, I hope they like the idea that a book could write back to them, and that a book is magic.”
So writes Saskatchewan author Alice Kuipers about her latest book Polly Diamond and the Magic Book, which follows the story of a little girl who not only loves to write, but also enjoys words and learning about them.
I ask Kuipers a number of questions about life as an author – and four young children – how she gets her ideas and her writing process during my stop of the Raincoast Books Blog Tour.
