Q&A with Reiner Pligge: Raincoat’s New In-House Consulting Architect.

We're thrilled to welcome Reiner Pligge, ALA to the Raincoat team! Reiner brings an impressive wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for his work in the AEC industry. We sat down with Reiner to get to know him better, from his favorite weekend activities to his love for global exploration.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time? Reiner:?When I'm not working, I’m often tackling projects around my 118-year-old Oak Park home, enjoying time with my four wonderful grandchildren, or traveling. I also love being outdoors, riding my bike, reading, spending time with friends, and relaxing with a good movie alongside my wife of 51 years, Margie.

Q: What’s your favorite food? Reiner:?I enjoy all types of good food, so it’s hard to pick a favorite!

Q: Do you listen to any podcasts? Reiner:?Yes, I mainly listen to podcasts focused on Continuing Education in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries.

Q: Have you heard of [movie or TV show]? Reiner:?I’m a big fan of?Masterpiece Theater?on WTTW. In fact, it’s also my go-to for weekend relaxation.

Q: Do you have a favorite book? Reiner:?The Catcher in the Rye?by J.D. Salinger is definitely a favorite.

Q: What’s your favorite place to eat around Oak Park? Reiner:?Trattoria 225 in Oak Park, IL. Great atmosphere and food!

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Reiner:?A prime steak with a baked sweet potato and asparagus.

Q: Would you rather explore the world or stay in one country? Reiner:?I’d love to explore the world but keep my home base here in the USA.

Q: What’s the funniest moment you’ve experienced? Reiner:?Too many to count! I love a good laugh.

Raincoat is lucky to have Reiner on board, and we're excited to see the incredible impact he’ll make on the team. Welcome, Reiner!
