Q1: What is your favourite aspect of working in the mining industry?

My favourite part of the mining industry would have to be the people. In my career, I have met some absolute legends whom I have become very close with who are some of the most colourful characters out there. The Australian mining community is actually quite small, but it's amazing how many people you run into all over the world, including people you have worked with previously.

Q2: What is your favourite part about being on-site?

The best part about being on site is the camaraderie, there are some very special people that make your swing fun and enjoyable- no matter what conditions you are working in.

Q3: Have there been any market trends/mining trends that have impacted business development strategies recently?

The most obvious would be commodity prices which are helping a lot of companies now. But of course, that aspect is out of your control- so you have to make sure to be dynamic with your clients as well dynamic with your way of thinking.

Q4: How do you identify new business opportunities within the mining industry?

Research! You must always read market-related publications and news. Continuously reaching out to people and using your network to the best of your ability.

Q5: On a scale of 1-10 how exciting is the next 6 months at K-Drill looking?

Solid 10. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline, with all the right people in the right positions that are really going to take K-Drill to the next level across the next 6 months.
