As we continue to recognize the tireless efforts of our supply chain and warehouse staff, we talked to Hollie Skula, warehouse manager at anyseals, Inc. in Brecksville, Ohio. She discussed her work, the team, and what it takes to supply our customers with high quality products 24/7, 365.
Q: Tell us a bit about your career with anyseals. When did you join the company, and what were you doing before?
A: I celebrate my 19th year with anyseals this year. Before joining the company, I was a stay-at-home mom, and I cleaned the building for extra income. My husband, John Skula, was the first employee of anyseals in the U.S. I would come help him in the warehouse when he was busy. As time went by, our children got older and I came to work with him more often.
Q: Describe your job as a warehouse manager. What are your responsibilities, and what do you enjoy most about what you do? What changes have you seen since you first began working for anyseals??
A: I keep the day flowing by prioritizing orders, working with the front office on order issues, and managing my crew's time. I also manage other issues and projects. I enjoy my crew and being organized. I'd have to say that organization is a key part of the day. I have a great team, and they really get the job done. It's important to get to know each of them and develop their strengths. We thrive doing what we do best here. As for change, the biggest over the years is going from a crew of two to three to managing nearly 20 people.

Q: What advice would you give to young professionals seeking a career in supply chain management?
A: It is a lot of work, but the work is rewarding, so work hard! I was raised by an independent business owner, and he was a true example of hard work. He taught us to go out and work for it. My mother worked hard in the home as well and handled his bookkeeping. They also taught us great teamwork.
Q: What would you like your customers to know about warehouse operations at anyseals in Brecksville?
A: I have a young crew with a lot of new people, so please be patient with us. It takes time, but we are meeting our customers' needs. This next year will be interesting with the completion of our AutoStore — a true turning point for our warehouse.
