Q&A with Daniela, Director of Talent Acquisition

Northvolt recently accepted the award for “Most attractive employer in Sweden”, for MSc Engineering Young Professionals at the Universum Awards. We caught up with Daniela, Director of Talent Acquisition, to get her thoughts on the award:?

“It feels great to know that there are many people who want to join our team! We need more passionate people to support the mission we are on - to enable electrification and reduce the impact of climate change,” says Daniela.?

We came in first place among Young Professionals and second place among Senior professionals. What do you think makes Northvolt so attractive to these groups??

“Northvolt has a purpose that many people feel connected with. Both young and senior professionals find it rewarding to use their skills for a higher cause, and we know that we offer one.” ?

Speaking of young professionals, we just launched our new graduate program. Could you tell us more about that? ?

“It is a brand-new program for fresh graduates that want to grow and contribute to our mission. We want to give those young professionals a platform to develop and learn about our industry and apply their learnings to real-life situations. It is a six-month program, where we commit to developing young talents as individuals and in their careers at Northvolt. We hope that the program will be their first six months here and that they will become full-time employees afterwards.”?

Why do you think people should join Northvolt? ?

“Because of the mission and the journey! Even though we've come a long way since I started, we still have a challenging yet fun road ahead! Ambitious, passionate, and bold professionals will thrive at Northvolt. In return, we offer the chance to work with our brilliant teams in an international environment while solving the most important and urgent problems of our generation.”?

Lastly, do you have any pro tips for people applying to Northvolt? ?

“We receive hundreds of applications per month and try our best to go through them, but it's challenging. So my best advice would probably be to be patient and persistent. Many people that have joined us have applied several times. Keep trying!”?
