Q&A with Dan Larson, Software Development Manager for Amazon Freight Tech

Everyone, meet Dan ?? Dan joined Amazon as a Software Development Engineer two years ago and recently made the transition to management! Dan is originally from Rochester, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2014 with a double major in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Dan, what excites you MOST about your role and team at ATS?

I am most excited about the direct impact that my team is able to have on the Amazon Freight business. Working directly with product and operation teams allows our tech team to create new features that have a visible impact in the real world.

Dan, can you finish the sentence for us? "When I'm not at work, you can find me..."

When I'm not at work, you can find me traveling or hiking with my wife and our dog. I enjoy staying active, and I am currently training for my first triathlon.

What's the last thing you watched?

The last thing I watched was the series Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix. Previously I had not been interested in racing, but after watching that series I am hooked!

What is your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world in Santorini, Greece. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. We took a jet ski tour of the island, which was one of the highlights of the trip.
