·?????? ?We hosted the 2nd edition of the Business Schools for Climate Leadership conference titled “Who pays for the climate transition” on our Europe campus??
On 1 June the second in-person Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL) Forum was hosted on our Europe Campus. The 100 participants strengthened their pledge to continue collaborating across their school’s alumni, faculties and student bodies to drive sustainable solutions into business. Giving the keynote, Pavan Sukhdev, INSEAD Hoffmann Institute advisory board member and CEO of GIST Impact, suggested that business leaders need to transition from an output economy to an impact economy.? ·?????? Professor in Finance, Lucie Tepla published a crossroads paper on ‘Can Financial Innovation Drive the Net-Zero Transition?
Building on the panel that Professor Tepla moderated during the Business Schools for Climate Leadership panel, she published the crossroads paper, ‘Can Financial Innovation Drive the Net-Zero Transition?’, exploring how promising new financing solutions are paving the way to net zero as well as the organisational, governmental and socio-political roadblocks.
·?????? Sustainability during launch week on Europe and Asia campuses
The new MBA 25J cohort on both Europe and Asia campuses were given sustainability sessions during their launch weeks. Dr. Vinika Rao, Executive Director of the INSEAD Hoffmann Institute on our Asia Campus and Kim Wilkinson, Associate Director of the INSEAD Hoffmann Institute on our Europe Campus presented an overview of INSEAD’s commitment to sustainability.
This included highlighting the MBA course roadmap, detailing the sustainability components of each core course, the sustainability electives, and sustainability capstone course.
·?????? We sponsored 3 student MBA Summer Start Up Tour Teams looking at green tech in 3 different global regions.
Gia Climate Lab were exploring climate innovation in major hubs in India, The Clean Energy Crew were examining the startup green tech industry in East Africa and Emissions Impossible were in the Middle East understanding how green tech can be leveraged ahead of COP28 in the UAE.
·?????? We supported 14 students with summer impact internship stipends
The INSEAD Hoffmann Institute Impact Internship Stipend programme provides financial support for INSEAD MBA students who pursue a summer internship in the public, not‐for‐profit sectors, for-profit impact ventures, and impact investment firms with a clearly defined social or environmental purpose. Students interned in companies such as Capitals Coalition in Amsterdam, Netherlands and The Optimal Greening Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria. Read the student blogs here.
·?????? We published INSEAD’s UN PRME report and finalized INSEAD’s annual ?????EcoVadis Assessment
Since 2008, INSEAD has been a member of United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME). INSEAD’s 2024 UN PRME Sharing Information on Progress Report was published, sharing knowledge, best practices and progress made in implementing the UN PRME Seven Principles. We also submitted INSEAD’s annual activity reports to UNAI, and completed INSEAD’s 2024 annual EcoVadis Assessment.
