Q3: That's a wrap!
Nothing marks the arrival of Q4 more than an abrupt change in the weather! So whilst we are on the topic of change first up we have quite a momentous piece of news. We’re excited to share with you all the new name for our live events sister agency – Two Tails Productions – which officially launched last Tuesday.
They’re still the same operation, with the same team, but after two decades of innovative work in the creative experience industry, SGA Productions felt it was time to have a new name to better reflect their creative DNA and purpose to ‘deliver smiles with Real Imagination’.
This is what Mark Palmer , Managing Director for Two Tails Productions , had to say:
"This is a very exciting time for us. While our name is changing, our commitment to creativity, innovation, and delivering extraordinary results remains steadfast. Two Tails Productions will continue to expand our international portfolio and push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of creative experiences, and we can't wait to embark on this journey with our clients, partners, and collaborators."
It’s an exciting new chapter and needless to say it’s been a time of late for the team. Renaming aside, Two Tails Productions has had a jam-packed summer: ZSL Whipsnade event featuring The Beano; Murphyfest; and their Nickelodeon Weekender event at Parkdean Resorts to name but a few. And the fun doesn’t stop there as they prepare to ramp up for another exciting quarter of live events. So, watch this space!
As for MGA Group , we’ve been working on a range of exciting projects for our existing clients and welcoming onboard new clients too. We look forward to sharing more on this in due course. ?
Last quarter we shared an article on the importance of creativity within internal communications. Well, in September we went one step further in embedding this notion, by working with one of our clients to deliver a communications workshop in France, explaining and emphasising the importance of creativity within employee engagement initiatives. This was well received by all, and we look forward to engaging with other clients on this subject matter. So, if this sounds of interest to you please do get in touch with Olivier Sottile .
As we so often say, creativity really is the backbone of our industry, so it’s great to see MGA Group ’s creative team come together and meet up for a new internal initiative – ?‘Nicer Tuesdays’ – ?which this time was held at EartH in Dalston. Ellie Carter Ames , Ross Gamble and Audrey Chan attended from the Group, and Audrey commented:
"I’ve struggled with my own creative process and found it difficult to stay on top of it all. Being able to see how the creators of Yonk constantly push through barriers and evolve their process is very inspiring to me. Most importantly, they reminded me to have fun through it all!"
Whilst Ross added:

"Taking the time to listen to stories from other creatives is invaluable to me. It's an opportunity to learn about different creative formats, different individual approaches to work and creative processes, and re-confirms that sometimes being a creative is not a linear journey. I'd definitely recommend the Nicer Tuesday events to anyone, not just 'creatives'."
We also had the opportunity to attend our second awards evening of the year (so far). On 22nd September, the Institute of Internal Communication held their annual awards evening, where our work was shortlisted in three categories.
We were shortlisted for ‘Best Storytelling' and 'Best Video/Animation' for our work on Integrity Matters for 联合利华 , and 'Best New or Relaunched Channel' for our work on CommUnity for 马莎百货 . We were super pleased to scoop Class Winner for ‘Best Video/Animation’, which is testament to the creative work delivered by the full team, as well as an Award of Excellence for the other two nominations. We certainly feel blessed with the awards that we have picked up this year – now totalling 9 across a range of projects and categories. ?
As an independent creative agency, we pride ourselves on the level of experience and expertise we offer our clients. August saw us celebrating three work anniversaries: Sarah-Jane S. with 2 years, Camille Leduc 8 and Andrew Pamphilon with an impressive 18 years! In October, Damien Millns is celebrating an even greater milestone – although he doesn’t want to admit it! All impressive tenures and long may it continue.
But for now, we’re all set for a busy Q4, and before you know it (WARNING: we’re going say the ‘C’ word…) it’ll be the festive season soon and that means a Christmas Party!
