PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear IMA Switzerland Chapter Members and Friends of the Chapter and Followers of the Chapter,

I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer break, filled with moments of reflection and inspiration. After a pause to recharge, I am thrilled to welcome you to an exciting new season at IMA Switzerland Chapter.

As we move forward, I am particularly energized by the new initiatives we’ve been working on. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of corporate membership, which we believe will enhance engagement and collaboration within the finance community, great initiative from IMA Global, so feel free to join your company to it, my bank is already proud corporate member of IMA and team is enjoying courses and webinars. Alongside this, we are launching new event formats, including more opportunities for networking events. These will allow us to gather in person again, exchange ideas, and share experiences—something we’ve all missed over the past few years. Nothing can substitute personal connections and it would be so great to?discuss our worries and challenges over a glass of wine, while enjoying the beautiful views of the Swiss lakes and mountains, please watch carefully for announcements.

On a personal note, I often find myself reflecting on the different roles I juggle—being a full-time finance professional, a mother to two wonderful daughters, and serving as President of this chapter. There are certainly days that are long and tiring, but what keeps me going is my deep belief in the value of what we do. The IMA Switzerland Chapter is not just a professional network; it's a community where we inspire and support each other to grow, both personally and professionally. It’s moments when we connect, share our experiences, and lift one another up that remind me why I’m so passionate about serving in this role.

As the year draws to a close, it already feels like we’re reaching our peak, but there is still so much to accomplish. We must continue building towards the future, setting strong plans in place to ensure the growth and success of our chapter.

At the Annual General Meeting that took place in Zürich on June 27, 2024 the assembly has appointed the BoD for the period 2024-2025.

Who am I? I am someone who has experienced all the above transitions (sometimes more than once) except retirement. ?? Here's a bit about me:

·??????? Dreamt of being a foreign diplomat but became a financial professional. I still managed to work globally and use my diplomatic skills in unique ways. ??

·??????? IMA member since 2003; became a CMA in 2007 and a CSCA in 2017. I founded the IMA Swiss chapter in 2009 with 12 other dedicated volunteers who have become lifelong friends (I call us the special “Ocean 13” ?? group).

·??????? Had to abruptly change my career due to an unanticipated health issue—a stroke survivor with neuro-divergent “superpowers” now. ??
