The MCP team has had a busy time over the last few weeks, especially with our attendance at Global Carrier Billing & Mobile Payments Summit (GCB&MPS for short – phew!) You may have seen Kev D. expertly chairing MEF’s DCB Working Group’s launch of its latest report on Optimising the Customer Journey, and David Ashman , our Head of Compliance, participating in AIMM’s panel discussion about the UK regulatory landscape. Both sessions were very insightful, and we thank all those involved for inviting us.?
Also, huge thanks to the Mobile Ecosystem Forum team for putting on such an enjoyable event (the first joint conference with Informa Tech) and especially to Anzelle Robertson .?

Euros 24 Attract Unscrupulous Practices.
Major sporting events like the Euros often result in spikes in non-compliant activities in the mVAS/DCB space. This summer we monitored the Euros and Paris Olympics for unscrupulous behaviours, such as misleading advertising, passing off and content locking, which?leverage?these events to drive traffic to services the consumer doesn’t necessarily want.?
MCP’s Enhanced Compliance Reports
As part of our commitment to continuous service improvement, we were excited to launch of our new enhanced MCP SCANNER Compliance Reports in August.?Subsequently, we have also updated other reports offering even greater insights into trends for data-driven decision making.

AIMM Google Ad Creation & Placement Working Group?
In our last edition we shared the news that UK industry organisation Association for Interactive Media and Micropayments (AIMM), in collaboration with MCP Insight, has formed a working group to explore how to safely leverage Google Responsive Display Ads (RDA). The working group has now met twice to explore how we can reduce customer harm and avoid further regulatory intervention by agreeing a best practice document. The first iteration of document is now in progress. To understand why this group has been formed and issues identified with Google RDAs, please refer to our previous article.?

MCP Insight Partners with PayGate in Kazakhstan
MCP Insight has partnered with master payment aggregator PayGate to help content service providers (CSPs) and media agencies unlock opportunities in Kazakhstan’s emerging mobile value-added services (mVAS) and direct carrier billing (DCB) markets. Through PayGate’s single API integration, merchants gain seamless access to major network operators including Kcell, Tele2, Beeline, and Altel.
