Q1 & Q2-2021 Swiss-Asia Communication
The first half of 2021has flown by without much change to the main discussion topic being the never-ending global pandemic concerns but many countries have decided to "let loose" for the summer and free up travel for people to go on that much needed holiday.
Vaccine programmes have been pushed forward aggressively in the developed countries, some of the biggest fiscal and central bank stimulus ever seen, Oil's, stocks?are on course for their second best H1 since 1998, adding to that another wild run for bitcoin, digital art selling for tens of millions of dollars despite being free on the internet and major gyrations in government bond markets and you start to get the picture.
The total hedge fund assets edged toward $4 trillion during the first half of this year as investors seek a safe haven from inflationary risk.?Many large institutional investors have made shifts to their portfolios on the margin to counteract potential near-term inflationary issues with alternatives benefiting. Performance has been quite mixed though with Equity Long leading the way for the first half of the year.?As we see from the top ten Swiss-Asia Platform Funds performance has been strong across asset classes over the period.
