The Importance of Getting Things Right from the Beginning – Preventive Approach by Gloria Andrade ? This workshop session will facilitate a deeper understanding of early foundations in children’s development by the unfolding of three scientific concepts. These concepts had been explored in the last 20 years and had supported the advance of policy and practice in early childhood Education. Participants will become aware of the adult-child relationships as the key to healthy development. The advances in the biology of adversity, adaptation, and resilience will bring awareness of the early foundations not only in learning and behavior but also in life long physical and mental health. ? Dr. Gloria Andrade has a Ph.D. in Family Studies and Human Development and fulfills the requirements for the endorsement by the New Jersey Association of Infant Mental Health. She is currently a consultant at the Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health at Montclair State University.
