PZLD - Water is insufficient for once use.

Now a days Zero Liquid discharge is utmost essential for survival of Industry rather than meeting statutory norms. There is huge advancement of technology in water industry and upgradation of same can make difference. We cannot solve problems with same thinking we used to. Up to mid of 18th century Crude oil was considered smelly black liquid & there was limited use i.e. Lighting, lubrication, Medicine etc. Presently Crude oil is one major source of energy/Petrochemical/Chemical product and wars were fought over it.Technology made difference & it minimize gap between Raw Crude & refined/Petrochemical products by extracting last drop of Hydrocarbon. In same way Wastewater stream having long hanging fruits like Sludge,COD,TDS,spent caustic & that can be recovered by Identification, Segregation & integration. Industrial wastewater is a resource which is waiting for the right technology. These so-called pollutants can give maximum profits by estimate resource stream potential, treatment cost, water purchase cost & operating expenses from recovery system. Now this is time we need to use water precisely not consume. Proactive approach for transformation of Wastewater to usable water for sustainable Industrial operation is need of time & should top priority for every management.

Solid waste separated from Wastewater having Oily Sludge, Bio Sludge, high COD, high TDS is currently going to secured Land fill. This long hanging fruits can give maximum profits by using right process & technology. We should change our thinking from current method of scheme to PZLD.
