pymetrics'? Response to Recent Events

pymetrics' Response to Recent Events

“The moral arc of the universe bends at the elbow of justice.” – MLK

Our company, pymetrics, is based on the idea that all humans have equal potential. Yet given the space we work in, we are aware of how people of color disproportionately experience bias and discrimination.

It is tempting to make this someone else’s problem, but it is not. We are all biased. While we are not born this way, we end up there. It is what we do with this knowledge that is critical.

Transparency. Accountability. Action.

Let us be transparent about these issues.

Let us take accountability when we find ourselves behaving in those ways.

Let us take action to overcome bias and discrimination at the individual, interpersonal, institutional, and structural level. Here is a starting place.

Black lives matter. Actions speak louder than words.

And a picture is worth 1000 words.
