Pylontech’s Safety Designs for RESS in System Integration

Failures in energy storage systems often arise from poor integration, incompatible components, incorrect installation, or improper commissioning procedures. To mitigate these risks, Pylontech has implemented comprehensive safety design measures.

Installation design

Pylontech provides compliant connection cables, stable racks, easy-to-install components, and color-coded power cables to ensure that users can safely and smoothly complete the battery installation. This design minimizes the risk of safety issues caused by improper operation.

Drop test

Pylontech’s battery systems undergo rigorous drop tests, including standards such as IEC 62619 and UL 1973, to ensure they can withstand accidental falls or impacts without compromising safety. These tests guarantee that the battery’s outer casing remains intact, the battery cells are undamaged, and the BMS continues to function properly. As a result, even after a fall or collision, the battery can still operate normally, ensuring durability and reliability.

Safety design of battery modules (Force series)

Pylontech’s Force series batteries are designed to ensure safety during installation and use. Each individual battery module does not form a complete circuit on its own and must be used in conjunction with the main controller and base. This design prevents the risk of short circuits caused by accidental contact by the user. Additionally, the positive and negative power connectors are unique, dedicated interfaces to prevent the possibility of reversed connections. When the system is powered off, the relay is disengaged, ensuring no circuit is formed, further enhancing safety for the user.
