PVDF Product Introduction

一，Materials

Dissolving PVDF in an appropriate solvent can provide good adhesion and conductivity for the slurry, promoting the progress of electrochemical reactions.

In addition, compared with the commonly used PVDF 900, the anti gel effect PVDF (special for high nickel products)>PVDF 5130>PVDF 900. The electrodes?made with PVDF (specifically for high nickel products) have better flexibility and can improve material compaction.

3. Partial application performance of the product

(1)?Slurry stability

It can be seen that after 2 days of standing time, the viscosity of 5130 shows a significant change, while the 811 slurry using VW770 shows better stability.

(2)Cycle performance(RT/45℃)

Test steps: 3.0-4.2V, charging rate: 0.5C to 4.2V, then CV to 0.02C, discharge rate: 1.0C.

The results indicate that the PVDF specially designed for NCM811+high nickel products has more advantages in cycling performance at room temperature and 45 ℃ of the entire battery compared to the combination with 5130.

In February 2023, Zhang Wenna published a paper online in the Energy Storage Materials journal (Impact Factor>20)“All-fluorinated electrolyte directly tuned Li+?solvation sheath enabling high-quality passivated interfaces for robust Li metal battery under high voltage operation”,This study provides a strategy for directly regulating the Li+solvation structure to construct an ideal interface chemistry for high-performance lithium metal batteries.
