PVC is a synthetic polymer made from vinyl chloride monomers. PVC compounds are created by mixing PVC resin with various additives during a compounding process. These additives can include plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, colorants, flame retardants, and other chemicals. The specific additives and their proportions can be adjusted to tailor the final properties of the compound to suit particular applications.

Here's a breakdown of some common components found in PVC compounds:
