PV-Storage Integrated Project in Shenzhenbei Railway Station
Project Date: 2024
Project Site: Shenzhen, China
Solution: CBES-0.5MW/1MWh C&I Containerized ESS
Application: Photovoltaic Consumption, Peak Shaving and Valley Filling
Project Background
In order to actively promote environmental protection and clean energy transition, Shenzhen is vigorously advancing the construction of clean energy projects. The Integrated Photovoltaic Storage Project at Shenzhenbei Railway Station is one of the first batch of demonstration bases for Green and Low-Carbon Scenarios in Shenzhen.
Four buildings at Shenzhenbei Railway Station are chosen as the construction sites for distributed photovoltaic generation. Photovoltaic modules are installed on the roofs and surrounding areas of the buildings. The constructed scale of photovoltaic system is 3.2MW.
Vision Solution
To ensure stable and continuous power supply and increase the self-consumption rate of electricity generated by the photovoltaic system in Shenzhenbei Railway Station, Vision provided a 0.5MW/1MWh air-cooled energy storage system to help the photovoltaic power consumption and peak shaving and valley filling operations.
Features of CBES-0.5MW/1MWh C&I Containerized ESS:
1. Safe and Stable
- Supports 100% Depth of Discharge (DOD) with a 15-year lifespan.
- Features a dual fire protection system, including combustible gas detection, exhaust ventilation, and explosion venting for efficient fire suppression and re-ignition prevention.
2. Solar-Storage Integrated System

-Offers full lifecycle fault diagnosis, health assessment, and early warning.
-Modular design allows for easy online replacement and maintenance.
Project Outcome
Photovoltaic power generation relies on sunlight and cannot generate electricity at night, during cloudy days, or on rainy days. Vision's CBES-0.5MW/1MWh C&I Containerized ESS stores electricity when sunlight is sufficient, and releases it when sunlight is insufficient or electricity demand is high. This ensures the continuity and stability of power supply from the entire PV-storage system, and also increases the self-consumption rate of electricity generated by the photovoltaic system.
The PV-Storage Integrated Project generates 3.3 million kWh of electricity annually, saving around 100,000 USD in electricity costs and reducing carbon emissions by 1,400 tons each year. With a total operational cycle of 20 years, the project is expected to generate approximately 66 million kWh of electricity, save about 2 million USD, and achieve a total carbon reduction of about 28,000 tons over its lifetime.
