Putting Patients First | Meet Our Fabulous Field Service Team! ??

A driving force within our P&R side of the Enovis business is our Field Service Representatives, or FSRs as they are known. FSRs are typically athletic trainers or other highly credentialed healthcare professionals with a high level of education and training who engage with patients on a daily basis.

Matt Miller, Director of Field Service at Enovis

Let’s meet our Director of Field Services Matt Miller to learn more about this team and their important role in Enovis’ success as a patient-focused medtech leader.

Hi Matt- It’s great to meet you!?How long have you been with Enovis?

MM: I started as a Field Service Representative in 2005 when we were known as DJO. It was my first job out of Bowling Green State University where I received my Bachelor of Education for Athletic Training. From there, I’ve had so many great opportunities to grow and advance my career at DJO and now Enovis. Currently, I’m Director of Field Service and manage a team of 180 field service representatives around the U.S.

What does an FSR do for Enovis?

?MM: Field Service Representatives really do everything possible to ensure our customers have the support they need. We are responsible for managing our customers’ inventory levels of Enovis products and making sure patients receive proper fitting and education about our bracing and support products. That’s why our extensive healthcare background is so important! We also help with paperwork and insurance verification.

Where does the sales team fit in with the FSRs?

MM: We work hand-in-hand with our sales team colleagues so our customers have the best-in-class customer service field support. Sometimes, we even step in when a customer needs some extra attention. We always have to be ready to apply our education and product knowledge as each day is different. I love it- it’s a great combination of sports, improving patient outcomes and customer service all rolled into one awesome field-based role.

Would you say our FSRs are some of our most patient-focused team members?

MM: Yes! Between fitting patients for braces, helping patients understand the clinical benefits of our solutions and applying technology to make paperwork much more streamlined, our FSRs are always focused on helping patients.?

It must have been difficult during the height of COVID to be so patient-focused?

MM: It was definitely challenging on many levels – physical and emotional – but our FSRs were in clinics every day, at night and on the weekends double-masked to ensure patients had the support they needed.

Last question Matt, what does it take to be a great FSR at Enovis?

MM: I think the number one success factor for a great FSR is a passion for improving patient outcomes. It’s such rewarding role that prepares you to grow within Field Service and beyond if you’re interested in applying your knowledge to other parts of our global business. Thank you, team, for everything you are doing to make Enovis a medtech leader!
