Putting the Joy Back Into Being a Business Owner

I’m often asked what it is that I do. With a title of “Fractional Integrator”, it’s not exactly clear cut and obvious. However, it is a great conversation starter!

In explaining my role, I always draw on experience. Since age 17, I’ve been in business for myself (I’ll tell you about the seemingly random path my life has taken...another time). I’ve had ups and downs, exhilarating victories and devastating losses. I’ve made great friends and I’ve had my heart broken. But through it all, there’s always the pride and satisfaction of knowing that I am an entrepreneur!

Last year, while meeting a potential client for dinner, he sighed deeply and said “Can I quit??”. He laughed it off, because he knew he couldn’t quit - he was the boss, the leader, the owner. The buck stopped with him. There’s no walking away. He was stuck. He felt trapped. Let me tell you this - I KNEW how he felt! I had been there myself. And it’s a horrible place to be. When we set off to start our own empires, that the last feeling we want to experience.

That, my friends, is why I am a Fractional Integrator. It is my mission, my passion, to help put the joy back into being a small business owner! “Integrators” do this by using simple tools and following a straight-forward process that allows the business owner to once again catch their breath, rekindle their vision, dream bigger and achieve the goals they’ve been working so hard on. “Fractional” means that we do it for more than one client at a time. By sharing an Integrator, the small business owner isn’t burdened with the costly expense of hiring a full-time employee.
