Putting for a Cause: Trustland Construction’s Golf Charity Day Raises £15,000 for Claire House Hospice
Trustland Construction Ltd
Commercial construction specialists with over 50 years experience in the industry.
We have recently hosted our annual charity golf day in aid of our local Claire House Children’s Hospice. On Friday, August 18th, the scenic greens of Heswall Golf Club transformed into a hub of camaraderie and goodwill as we, along with participants, sponsors, and supporters, joined forces to raise funds for a worthy cause.
We started fundraising for Claire House during our 45th anniversary year and our teams have run marathons, ultra marathons and triathlons, have completed trail runs, have jumped out of planes, cycled across countries and baked cakes. The golf days, the new addition to the efforts, have proved very successful and we have now raised in the region of £75k for the charity, that supports seriously and terminally ill children and young people and their families.

Driving Change on the Greens
The recent charity golf day at Heswall Golf Club again surpassed all expectations, showcasing the power of collective giving. Participants enjoyed a day of spirited competition, laughter, and shared purpose. Teams from diverse sectors and backgrounds came together for a friendly yet competitive round of golf. The event fostered an environment where participants showcased their skills, forged new connections, and most importantly, contributed to a truly fantastic cause.

A Triumph in Fundraising
The success of our charity golf day was not merely measured in strokes and holes, but in the incredible £15,000 that was raised. The combined efforts of participants, sponsors, and donors were pivotal in achieving this impressive sum, which will significantly support Claire House Children’s Hospice’s essential services. The funds were raised through various avenues, including team entry fees, sponsorships, raffle ticket sales, and an engaging auction that added a touch of excitement to the event.

Celebrating the Champions
On the leaderboard, it was Team Turnick that emerged triumphant, claiming the coveted 1st place. Following closely behind was 107 Dining, securing a commendable 2nd place, while Hunter Comms earned a well-deserved 3rd place. Our nearest the pin winner was Dan Ince and our longest drive was completed by Tom Atkinson.
We express our sincere gratitude to our champions and each participant who embraced the spirit of the event, as well as to Heswall Golf Course for their dedicated contributions in crafting a truly exceptional day. The achievement of our charity golf day would not have been possible without the unwavering backing of our sponsors, who wholeheartedly share our conviction in the potential of collective giving:
