Putin hosts BRICS summit amid Ukraine war shadow and strategic bilater

Russian President Putin has met with the leaders of the attendees of the BRICS summit in the Kazan, the republic of Tatarstan. Attention should be given to the western exposure on China’s Xi Jinping, India’s Narendra Modi and Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdo?an. But don't except to get all that much from the president of Brazil, Lula, or the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

Putin hosts BRICS summit amid Ukraine war shadow and strategic bilater

The BRICS summit has officially started in the city of Kazan in Russia while President Vladimir Putin is still at the helm of affairs as he addresses the most conflicting dimensions of Ukraine's war. Despite the fact that the summit regularly speaks of trade and investment on an equal footing, we could not help carve out an exception in light of the unfolding events in Ukraine. It is obvious that the negotiations aspect of the event has been particularly intensifies, shaping both diplomatic behavior and military alignments.

BRICS Summit begins in Russia Amid global uncertainty

Today’s talks will take an added significance for Putin as he meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Turkish President Erdo?an in a series of 15 planned bilateral meetings. In the absence of Brazilian President Lula and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, the annual summit provides Russia with a critical chance to lay further grounds for its position in world affairs, especially in its interaction with the West.

The Ukraine war Hazes the BRICS initiatives itself.

Despite the BRICS structure’s usual emphasis on combined trade or cooperation in investment, and sustainable development, a reflection on the aggressiveness in politics that is connected to the situation in Ukraine have come up. It is evident that Putin, who has already fallen out of favor and has become a subject of sanctions and disgrace in the international arena, wishes to make the most of coalitions within the BRICS, particularly China and India whose neutral positions in the Ukraine crisis, remain key for Moscow. When it comes to Russia, the meeting is not focused mainly on economics; it raises the level of the diplomatic relationship as well. Some other states outside the West, especially China, have been more active in trying to resolve regional and global disputes. At the same time, India remains in a situation of most concern for it seeks to continue its historical ties with Russia, or rather to clarify it once again, while changing its attitude with the West following the war in Ukraine. Turkey is an interesting case given its mediation in some of the discord encompassing Ukraine and also as a proponent of security in the region.

Strategic bilateral talks to shape the future

The core of these discussions will be concentrated on strategic personal meetings that should be held between Putin and such key figures as Xi, Modi, and Erdo?an. It is the aspect of China which is the most crucial one, for, with all the uncertainties surrounding war, time and time again Xi Jinping really attests that he stands by Russia, as he is so present in this particular international landscape. They are supposed to dwell on further expansion of the venture of making an arrangement in the issues of economy, cooperation in the sphere of energy, and counteracting US dollar dominance among forms of transactions which is in alliance with the interests of the two countries. India's Modi, while straddling the West and the East, is likely to raise concerns related to such issues as regional security and trade and energy, whereas the situation in uctions in Ukraine remains tense. In addition, Erdo?an, representing Turkey, will have complex positions in the negotiation as the a member of nato and a mediator in the conflict in Ukraine. Had Lula and Mohammed bin Salman been present in the federation summit this year, the overall ties within BRICS would have been different as Russia tries to gather strength from her principles. Notably, the absence of Brazil and Saudi Arabia, two powerful players in the world of energy and economy will likely impact on the outcome of the summit due to the restrictions imposed by other countries that are pushing Putin to take a side in a world that is generally divided by geographic and global approaches. Gone are the days when globalization was only spoken of in terms of the West and everybody else. The BRICS summit is not just about the emerging confrontation of Russia with the Western countries. The non-Western group would have more alliances to address global challenges Also, let the countries which face the same global challenges as well see Russia in BIC, RIC rather than only in BRICS. Over the course of the prestigious forum, most time will be dedicated to respective Russian-Chinese and Russian-Indian intersubjective bilateral relations. Especially, in view of the ongoing situation in Ukraine Is there any other way.
