Putin bans book by American author. "Too subversive."

Vladimir Putin has banned the book "The Maxfieldian Way and Feral Guide to Going Nowhere," by American author William Christopher Greta. The book was removed from online sources, and printed copies were burned in a ceremony in Red Square.

"Subversive ideas and philosophies have no place in Russian society," said Putin. "Anyone caught reading book will have accident, like falling from sixth floor window."

Mr. Greta, who'd recently published the book on Amazon and is currently on a book tour of New Zealand, is perplexed by the ban. "I never mention bloodthirsty dictators anywhere in the book. Maybe I'll save that for Volume Two," said Greta. "I do mention that if you're living under a repressive regime that you can't change, that you really should quit and never go back, but that doesn't sound all that subversive to me."

The book, which is available on Amazon here https://a.co/d/hKjFfEX, has been priced by the author at a low, low price of only $3.25 and is selling well.

"I priced it to be the same as a cup of coffee. We all buy a cup of coffee without even thinking about it. Why not buy a book that could change your life for the same price, and now it's also a book that pisses off Vladimir Putin. That alone makes it worth the price of admission," says Greta.

If Mr. Greta ever comes back from New Zealand, he'll plan a book tour of North America.
