Do you have an Elf on the Shelf?
Those rebellious, naughty elves are causing chaos and carnage in households everywhere this year.
You know what these elves have in common with my self-publishing authors?
There’s a rebellious streak in them too.
They’re not waiting for permission to publish a book that will skyrocket their impact.
They’re not seeking the traditional publishing deal so that they are “legitimate” authors.
They’re about writing a book in their own timescale.
They take their own journey.
Make their own mess.
Do their own thing.
And have some fun along the way.
?
My authors-to-be are not waiting for someone else to put them on the shelf.
?
My authors-to-be do not want someone else to manipulate their book into positions that aren’t the best direction for their business.
No. They’re action-takers.
They’re investing in themselves.
They have an audience. They already help people. They know that they are amazing at what they do and want to level up, not only in attracting income but also with their capacity to help people who can’t afford their signature offer.
All it will take is a day.
A day to make the time to sit down and go through the important steps to get the right book for them on the shelf in 2022.
And from there, decisions can be made.
About how to write.
About who to involve in the writing and production of their book.
About how much to invest in the process.
But for now.
It’s the first step.
The first decision.
The decision that 2022 is THE YEAR that you are going to become an author.
And that step is going to be overseen and guided by a publishing mentor who has 20 years experience in traditional trade non-fiction publishing.
Who has taken countless ideas and turned them into book plans and sold them at international book fairs to international publishing houses.
And then went on to make them and deliver them to those publishing house’s warehouses.
(That’s me, by the way).
So – there’s no sales page.

(Well, actually there might be, but you need to send me a DM to see it)
But what I do know is that you will get everything you need – the guidance, the space to create your book plan, the feedback, the opportunity to ask questions – to feel able to confidently say that you will write and publish a book that will grow your business in 2022.
When you take just one day to get your book idea out of your head and onto paper and stop procrastinating about it, it’s a no-brainer really.
Here’s the info and what you can expect on the day (and before).
I have specifically opened up three dates for 15 people who want to become authors in 2022 to commit to putting themselves on the shelf.
Thursday 13 January
Monday 17 January
Thursday 27 January
It will take place on Zoom.
I meet so many people who tell me they are going to write a book.?
But it always seems to be Some Day. And there are all sorts of reasons why it’s not Now.
They want to build their audience (spoiler, you can do that as you write).
They don’t have time (spoiler, if you come to this planning day and then write for two hours a week after that, you’ll have your first draft completed by around June).
?They are scared.
Can I tell you some truth?
Everyone is scared when it comes to writing a book.
The ones that do, just manage that fear.
Even the author whose book I edited in 2020 which was her TENTH book, was scared to deliver it to me for editing.
Even Elizabeth Gilbert, who wrote Big Magic and Eat, Pray, Love has a mammoth passage in Big Magic about why she is scared to create.
The authors, the ones on the shelf, feel that fear and do it anyway.
Here’s what’s included.
First of all, you will receive prep work to begin the thought process on the prep work before the end of December. This is all available to you in a MemberVault login which you will create after you purchase.
On your chosen day, no more than 5 of us will meet on Zoom, starting from 10am GMT. We’ll run through materials that cover your goals, your reader and your business and how you can set yourself up to make a significant return on your investment.
At 1pm, we’ll break for lunch and you will have until 3pm to go and use the tools I’ve provided for you to plan your book.
At 3pm, we’ll come back together and you will have 15 minutes to present your book plan to us and ask any questions you have.
Then we’ll have a general Q&A session and discuss your steps and commitments going forward.
And as I’m typing this, I can’t believe that I’m taking a quarter off the price until the end of December!
Imagine feeling confident that you are writing the right book and having everything in place to start writing, after a one day planning intensive.
All for £600.
And this is where it gets even crazier, if you buy before Thursday 16th December at midday, you'll get a bonus hour 1:1 after the day where you can ask me all the questions you need to know the answers to or get my help to set yourself a realistic writing and production schedule.
My 1:1s are £249 so this is a massive saving of £449 if you take action and sign up by Thursday.
If you want to be guided by me and are ready to put yourself on the shelf in 2022, send me a DM or pop an emoji in the comments and I’ll get in touch.
