The way we listen to music is changing. Songs are getting shorter and so is people's attention spans. Therefore with the current state of things putting your hook first in a song is the way to go. This is a common technique used in music composition to capture the listener's attention and engage them right from the beginning of the song. The hook is usually the most memorable and catchy part of the song, often consisting of a melody, a lyric, or a rhythm that sticks in the listener's mind.
By placing the hook at the beginning of the song, you are essentially giving the listener a taste of what's to come and hooking them in right from the start. This is important because in today's fast-paced world of new music and algorithms, listeners need you to grab their attention in the first few seconds of the song, if you don't they may switch to something else.
In addition, putting the hook first also helps to establish the theme or the main idea of the song, which can help to set the tone and mood for the rest of the song. It also allows the listener to connect with the song and understand the message that the artist is trying to convey.
Overall, putting your hook first in a song is an effective way to make a strong impression on the listener and ensure that they stay engaged throughout the rest of the song.
