Put it to REST
The concept of working harder will result in one having more time to “do the things that they really want to do” is not true. If we work harder, we will not necessarily have more time for activities or being with others because this is flawed logic. The reality is, that we should have a more efficient process so that we can be more productive.
Work should be measured in results, not how long it takes us to do a certain task. Showing quantifiable results is a brag-worthy deliverable, not putting in 60-80 hours week. Many hours may just mean that you put in time but were not very effective.
We can’t help you with your Short-Term Rental (STR) needs if you think you are too busy to give yourself a REST. Imagine you get a call from your best friend. They inform you that next Friday, you have to get to Atlantic City, NJ. One of your favorite artists, Steely Dan, is playing at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Resort and they have two tickets. You could make an excuse for why you can’t make this work; or better yet, you could make a list of what has to get done. This will be your most efficient work week in years. This is due to having a goal of not wanting to let your friend and yourself down. You might not even recognize yourself; you seem really motivated and more driven with your “to do list”, posted notes, and commitment to succeed!
This is how we make time for the REST STR experience. It should not be a choice to have time for these types of experiences. We owe it to ourselves to get the most out of life. We will be more engaged in life if we enjoy it. ?Now all we have to do is prioritize our goals so we can REST.
