Put Me In, Coach! Neon Deion Rocks Boomi World

Incredibly unique opportunities only come so often.

"Always be ready," commanded Deion Sanders!

The two-time Super Bowl champion knows whereof he speaks.

We're talking about the only man ever to play in both the World Series and the Super Bowl! A man who lit up professional sports arenas like Zambelli ignites fireworks at PNC Park.?

Neon Deion!

He's never drunk alcohol or gotten high. He hasn't even sworn since age 19.

Prime Time sat down with another major key player, Boomi CEO Steve Lucas, at Boomi World's first Denver extravaganza. As expected, Sanders gave the audience a show to remember!

"Why aren't we dreaming like we once dreamt? Why can't we dream big? I was a huge dreamer! My Momma said you gotta stop!"

As a child, Deion told his mother he was going to make a lot of money, so she'd never have to work again. Guess what? He made a lot of money, "and my mother hasn't worked in years!"

The always-energetic coach of the Colorado Buffaloes went on to give a clinic in self-motivation and guiding principles:

"i never compared myself to anyone," he exclaimed. "I always believed that I could and I knew that I would!I dreamt outside those parameters! I win because of the want and the work ethic."

He offered some brass-tacks tips for success:

"Unless you work, nobody cares about your brand! You've got to maximize your moments and focus on the main thing! if you don't know where you're doing, why would I want to get in your car?" he asked.

Another maxim: "Stop leaving your door unlocked to let doubt creep in! I've never doubted me! I'm a winner! I've always been a winner! It's just a matter of time!"

Then came the "incredibly unique opportunity" as voiced by Lucas: "We have time for a couple questions," he said. Guess who threw up a hand immediately? That's right: your humble if excitable radio host!

"Yes, sir!?" spoke Prime Time, looking right at me. Deion Sanders called me Sir!?

"There are so many distractions these days," I said, "with social media, the news, the climate, all these things that have kids concerned. I know; I have a 10-year old. How do you keep your kids, at home, but also your players; how do you keep them motivated every single day?"

"My kids," he replied? "My sons are unbelievable, man. You gotta understand, I'm not a baby-daddy, I'm a real father. I love them. They love me."

He went on, a proud father talking of the success his kids have enjoyed in youth sports: "We barely never lost. We won three straight state championships until they kicked us out of the league, so it could have been four!"

And what about his Colorado Buffaloes??

"The guys on the team, you have to really teach them, and I try to teach them some kind of message every morning before practice, because they're not used to that light, and also the coaches. Sometimes that same light that allows you to illuminate internationally; it also, when you get too close to it; it can burn you. So we try to teach each other through all the different levels of life. Because at different levels, there are different devils."

Wow! Put me in, coach

Prime Time!
