Put me in Coach! I’m ready to play, today!

Put me in Coach! I’m ready to play, today!

My sabbatical is complete and I’m ready to get off the bench and back in the Game.

Call it a sabbatical, Gap period, or a futile effort to retire with grace, the past two years have been perhaps the most profound, unexpected and challenging of my sixty-four years of existence. This extraordinary experience has been a gift to me on many personal levels. However and at the same time, I find myself restless, with an insatiable appetite, a gnawing at both mind and spirit, to be part of the business world that I left behind. In so, I have concluded that it is time to get off the bench and sidelines and charge back into the work, mission, and purposefulness that I have been so fortunate to have passionately pursued and invested in for more than four decades.

For Hire, Rent or Purchase - I am Charging into the Second Half of Life

Prior to embarking on my hiatus in the late fall of 2020, my career had provided me the great privilege to have dedicated myself to the service of individuals, companies, and communities alike. This honor, garnered over a forty-plus season career, had been achieved through the dedication and distribution of my professional experience, industry knowledge and investments of time, energy, and resources. The culmination of focus and commitment continually served a perpetual effort aimed at contributing to improving our nations’ health, well-being, and financial security. Now, as my ever-developing journey continues, I find myself at an interval in life best described as my halftime.

“For the second half of life to be better than the first, you must make the choice to step aside of the safety of living on autopilot. You must wrestle with who you are, why you believe what you profess to believe about your life, and what you do to provide meaning and structure to your daily activities and relationships.” – Bob Buford, business leader, author, social entrepreneur

I envision this new half as embodying an ongoing transformation from a professional role as a pioneering health care executive leader to that of an individual contributor, navigator, mentor, and investor. This professional evolution would be best described as the positioning of my passion, experience, and intellectual assets in a manner to be utilized by individuals, organizations and people-groups seeking successful, significant, and sustainable outcomes.

My goal is to focus on contributions as:

?Thought Leader

?Collaborator

?Strategist

?Facilitator

?Ecosystem Engineer

?Transformation Innovator

?Advisor, Mentor, and Guide

My desire is to work with and for people looking to create positive, profitable, and sustainable change that will address many of our times most difficult problems. I come to this stage of life with unique and diverse experiences, relationships, passion, inspiration, and innovation in the following areas:

?Wellness and Well-being

?Enterprise Performance

?Population Health

?Organizational Leadership

?Health Economics

?Behavioral Health

?Individual and Social Dimensions of Health

The combination of my passion and experience with the kindred spirit and drive of those who wish to facilitate positive and impactful change shall serve as the foundation for our legacy of greatness.
