Put Down Your Phone

It should be known that phones are modern-day personalized TVs. That’s why you are glued to them 78% of your day. And in return, you do nothing meaningful but stare at pictures and words all day. What a waste of bones and flesh!

For instance, take this, I came across a physically handicap man who was misusing the highway. On one hand, he was peddling his handcart, on the other, he was scrolling through his phone. He shuffled his eyes between looking at the road and looking at his phone ( mind you, for my money, I’d argue he was watching porn). He religiously kept looking at his phone. As a result, the guy's eyes evaded the busy highway full of speeding oil trailers.

But…

…I don’t blame the guy. He didn’t know what he was playing with. So I prayed to the Lord to protect him to his destination. As for you who can read this, please get it in your head and get it right that I’m not going to pray for you!

There is no difference between spending your time watching TV and scrolling through Facebook or any other phone application. All of them consume your time with nothing in return. There is no skill that you earn at the end of it. You just waste your precious little time.?

A tagline from Lamborghini, the sportscar company, resonates with me. It goes, “ People who can afford to buy Lamboghinis don’t sit to watch TV.”

It's for you to know where people who can afford to buy Lambo’s are located, but they aren’t in front of screens. So take it as a call to action, a headwind that’s blowing hard on your face for you to change direction...

…make something of yourself and time. But remember it never happens when you're watching other people do their jobs on a screen.
