Put a Clamp on the ever expanding Microsoft Exchange

Many will agree with me that Managing Exchange Storage is never an easy task no matter what company you are in , Corporate , SME its all the same. Even more in Asian environment. Microsoft Azure has spoilt us for choices with 50GB of space storage for every user what can you ask for more.

But is that the right attitude when you send emails , do you think it makes sense to send large size articles and attachments and make the whole pipeline choked to your customers or even your colleagues.

What can we do to be more gracious , well to explain let me give you a scenario. You are sending out weekly updates and each of your excel sheets is 2MB in size. You are now in a group and send out to the whole group. What are you actually doing.

The email you send out carries out a 2MB size file to lets say 10 of your colleagues. So in your mail storage you can 10 copies of your 2MB file. that makes it 200MB for the same file.

If you really care about storage you need to think hard on how can you go light and yet get everyone to enjoy that one copy.
