"Put that bl**dy light out!"

"Put that bl**dy light out!"

"Put that bloody light out!" A cry oft heard during the Blitz and dark days of World War 2. Think Hodges from Dad's Army and you get the idea- a no nonsense chap intent on preserving life - and rescuing those who were 'bombed out'.

Well, that's me. Only with a bit more humour and less obtrusive behaviour to those jolly chaps in Khaki- the Home Guard. With Brylcreme, Tilley Lamp and tobacco in his pipe at the ready, we are ready to sock it to Hitler and his Luftwaffe raids.

With a portable Anderson Shelter, Air Raid Siren, Gas rattle, Whistle and First Aid box, Warden Billy Spicer is available to tell the story of these heroic chaps who battled blackout curtains and German bombers with equal aplomb.
