“Put all excuses aside and remember this: YOU are capable”~Zig Ziglar
I had a wonderful conversation last week. The type of discussion that lifts sagging spirits and reminded me of why I do what I do. How grateful I am that interactions like this happen fairly regularly these days. I remember when life was not nearly so joyous. When my daily adventure felt like drudgery and I lived in fear of being found out.
I was fortunate. I had people that believed in me. I had individuals that inspired me to be better than I was. It’s funny that I am thanked for the positive messages I post. It is humbling to know that they may make a small contribution to the wellness of others. The truth is that they are reminders to me of the person I strive to be.
Many years ago life wasn’t great. I had made some choices that held me captive. I do not think that I would have been voted most likely to succeed! I was lucky-I discovered hope. For those of us that are struggling please don’t give up. I am reminded of the words of a mentor and friend at that critical time in my life, Zig Ziglar who despite being enormously popular and in demand as a writer and speaker took the time to invest in me with his letters and small actions that I was a better person than I thought I was and could be what I wanted to be. So can you!
