New dimension of fluid simulation

Numerical simulation represents a major opportunity to improve industrial design and manufacturing processes, by completing or replacing expensive, effort-prone and lengthy prototypes and field tests.

The difficulty here is to simulate precisely the highly dynamic water flow considering the deformation of the rotating tire and the realistic road surface – this was a world-first in the simulation history!

The challenge here is to measure precise mechanical forces and fluid flow rates with moving parts (rotating gears) that create super complex oil flows – this was achieved after several years of intense R&D.
