?? YGL Mina Guli completed her 200th marathon
And she has no plans of stopping there
She embarked on this year-long journey to bring attention to one of the most critical yet often overlooked issues in the global conversation on climate change - the scarcity of water. In a world where droughts, floods, and pollution grab the headlines, her mission through the RUN BLUE campaign was to inspire and connect people to take meaningful action on water, in the lead-up to the first global United Nations (UN) water conference in almost half a century. Her relentless efforts paid off when she celebrated her 200th marathon on World Water Day earlier this month. Reflecting on her journey, she urges us to recognize water's critical role in our lives and our planet's survival.

?? Meet YGL Javier Garcia Martinez
His experience as a Young Global Leader had a profound impact

In 2014, when his home country of Spain faced an unprecedented youth unemployment rate of over 50%, Javier created Celera in response - a people accelerator that identifies and invests in young people. Each year, it supports 10 Spanish youths by providing them with the resources, mentoring, training, and community they need to thrive. Over the past ten years, Celera has supported nearly 100 extraordinary young people from Spain, who have gone on to create companies worth millions of dollars, make groundbreaking scientific discoveries, launch social programs, and even develop life-saving medical technology. Investing in young people has proven to be a powerful way to impact the world positively, something that Javier learned as a Young Global Leader.
