Pushed to Your Destiny
?
In life we all face trials and tribulations and ups and downs. We will also go through periods of betrayal, unfair circumstances, biases, and times that we question why we are going through these different scenarios. But the truth of the matter is “this is all part of life”. LIFE has good days, and it also has bad days if people are honest with themselves.? The issues with the ups and downs of life are determining and discerning what is designed to make you stronger and when to know when it’s time to pack up and leave.?
In the book of Acts, Paul experienced a lot of trials and tribulations. One situation in Acts 27: He was on his way to Rome to be tried as a political rebel, but the ship carrying him was caught in a violent storm only to be wrecked two weeks later on the Maltese coast. Once he was shipwrecked, he was then bitten by a snake but survived (Acts 28). Despite all of this, Paul healed a Chief Official’s father and then healed the rest of the sick on the island he was shipwrecked on (Acts 28).
?So, what can Paul teach us when we face our own trials and tribulations, deal with opposition, feel stuck, deal with negative situations as we try to discern God’s will in our lives?
?
Paul teaches us that sometimes our trials and tribulations are designed to push us to our destiny.?
Everything that happens is not always in place to destroy, but it could be there to build patience, endurance, develop character, develop empathy, or a calling to serve those who need your testimony.?
?We must discern whether some storms of life are designed to make us stronger or calling us down another path. I have learned that sometimes it’s both—building stamina and perseverance. Then being called somewhere else to use your experiences to serve others.
So, what about you?
Are your trials making you stronger—more dependent on God? Is it time to stay or is it time to go? Like Paul, it may be both: building your endurance and being called to a different path where others will need the gifts God has graced you with.
?So… if the ground appears shaky; if the winds are blowing; if the waves are crashing in; if the heat has been turned up…
?YOU HAVE TO DISCERN IF HE IS NOT ONLY BUILDING YOU UP, BUT ALSO
“PUSHING YOU TO YOUR DESTINY”.
