Push Your Gifts To Their Limits

Push Your Gifts To Their Limits

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

There are ponds. There are lakes. There are rivers. There are oceans. Which one is your domain?

You're probably in a Pond and you believe that's all there is to life. People have told you to stay within the confines of what you're used to. "Curiosity killed the cat", they'll say. But somewhere deep down, you believe you have the power to move to something bigger. You have the ability to transform that talent into something lake-worthy, but the voices just won't stop.

Perhaps you're already in a Lake. God has helped you leverage your gifts and now, the limits f what you can possibly accomplish are far apart. But you feel limited by your academic degree or your family background. "No one has ever run their own business in our family", they'll say. But you know you've been called to serve many people with the talents God has placed in you.

You're probably already in the River. You almost can't see the limits and resources keep coming to you from every corner. You're blessed and tempted to accept the comfortable life you now have. "Don't destroy the good things God has given you", they'll say. You know they're right, but you know there's more.

Or maybe you're in the Ocean, unable to see the boundaries and you have been a blessing to so many people, but are afraid to move to the centre where it's deeper. "There are sharks that will do anything to bring you down", they'll say. You're actually scared of the sharks. But you know whom to go to when you need to fight them. It's just courage you need to launch into the deep.

There's always a devil at every stage just waiting to tell you why you can't and shouldn't do more. But God says otherwise. There is a power at work in you that allows Him to surpass our expectations. But you have to allow that power to work.

How? Ask Him to reveal how else you can use what He has given you to serve others. He may not show you the whole thing so you don't freak out, but you'll get the next step.

Push the limits. Go deeper and be all you're meant to be.
