Hubby and I were in a place and this well dressed lady (deaf and mute) walked up to us asking for alms, I immediately signalled with a wave of my hand that I had no alms to give. Instead of moving on, she decided to strike a conversation.
Pointing to me and hubby and then clasping her middle fingers, I believed she asked if we were a couple and I nodded in response.
She smiled, signalled some more and then faced my hubby and signalled "your wife is very beautiful" which made him smile. At that point, I couldn't help but part with some cash ???? She smiled, thanked us and moved on.
Looking at her as she walked to the next person, there was something different about her; She dressed the part, had the skill and exuded confidence.
Some marketers and sales people give up too easily.
Every client has an emotional hot button and the only way to push that button is to connect with your customers emotionally.
You can influence your customers buying decision by striking a cord in their emotions.
The lady knew her onions, she didn't take no for an answer rather, connected with me and made me feel good with her compliments, and 'gbam', I parted with some cash.
When last did you sell a product or service? How did it make your customer feel? Were you confident enough to push that button (EHB) or did you just let it slide?
Remember people buy feelings not things.
Have a great week.
