Clayton Christensen was one of the most influential business management thinkers of our times. He passed away earlier this year but his timeless teachings in life, leadership, and innovation had a profound impact on me. In "How Will You Measure Your Life", Clayton shared a set of guidelines that have helped him find meaning in his own life. According to him, the metric by which God will assess our life isn’t dollars but the individual people whose lives we’ve touched. He reminded us not to worry about the level of individual prominence we have achieved but worry about the individuals we have helped become better people.

According to Clayton, the choice and successful pursuit of a profession is but one tool for achieving our purpose. But without a purpose, life can become hollow. Our decisions about allocating our personal time, energy, and talent to things that matter the most will ultimately shape our life’s purpose. 4 年Sanjiv- how about helping seniors and people with disabilities who can’t open today’s packaging. My wife and I are in our 60’s healthy and strong and struggle daily with getting things open. Hardly a week goes by without one of us getting cut on something we’re trying to open. Could you dedicate a part of the store that requires special access to get to easy open packages? Or make available only on-line? Start with the Kroger products and the other manufacturers will have to follow. As the population continues to age, this is only going to become a bigger problem.
